The last four blogs have focused on what causes chronic disease ( inflammation) and what you can do to prevent/ stop /reverse chronic disease ( correct diet). We all want the same thing, "to live long and prosper." It takes wisdom to achieve that goal. We all become wiser as we age, and sometimes we tend to learn through trial and error.
There is lot of data and information in those blogs. But information is not knowledge, knowledge is acquired when one understands the information to be able to make good decisions. Wisdom is acquired through actions and sorting out what worked and what did not.
Diet is the most important lifestyle factor in creating health. 97% of us do not have good lifestyle habits just based on diet and exercise according to surveys. Therefore, it is not surprising that Americans have high health care costs since our overall incidence of chronic disease and cancer is higher than almost all other developed countries.
Being healthy is simple and low tech. If we do the right things most of time, we don't need expensive hospital and doctors services and we can live a long life without disability. We don't need to have a perfect diet but they are things to stop, replace and reduce.

Diet is not well understood. If it was understood, we all be eating right and be healthier. Our kids are even sicker than we were at their age, so the prognosis is bad for future health care costs and our kids lifespan.
